Oral presentation

The official language of the conference is English.

The time reserved for a presentation is 20 minutes, ideally, your presentation will only be 15 minutes, which will leave time to answer immediate questions. Experience tells, that it is best not to have more than 15-20 slides.

Presentation format

We would appreciate you adding the initial slide with the conference logo to your presentation:

Please prepare your presentation preferably using the most recent version of PowerPoint (note the older version - 2003-2013 – are also supported).

The screens’ aspect ratio will be 16:9.

Please note that Apple Keynote and Prezi presentations are not supported, and they have to be converted into PDF files.

When saving your final presentation to the USB stick do not forget to make sure to include your video files and all links to these multimedia files.

Supported file types:

  • Presentation: PPT, PPTX, PDF
  • Video: AVI, MPG, MKV, MOV, MP4, WMV
  • Audio: WMA, MP3, WAV
  • Pictures: JPG, GIF, BMP, TIFF

Uploading your presentation in the Speaker’s Preview Room

Your presentation must be handed over to the technicians in the Speaker’s Preview Room as much in advance as possible, but no later than two hours before the beginning of the corresponding session.

In the Speaker’s Preview Room, you will download your presentation to the intranet, and you will also be able to review if it has been transferred correctly. Your presentation will be automatically available in the corresponding lecture room.

Speaker’s Preview Room opening hours:

  • Sunday, 19 June: 15:00 – 19:00
  • Monday, 20 June: 8:00 – 17:30
  • Tuesday, 21 June: 7:30 – 18:30
  • Wednesday, 22 June: 8:00 – 17:00

In the lecture room

All speakers are requested to be present in the session room 10 minutes before the session starts to meet with the session chair. If you haven’t provided your bio in advance, please bring a printout and hand it to the chair so that you can be properly introduced.

Once the presentation is launched on the computer in the respective lecture room, you will advance your own slideshow using the remote control.

If any problems occur, there will be assisting staff in each lecture room.

  


Poster presentation

The official language of the conference is English.

Poster presenters are expected to prepare:

  • The poster prepared based on the IWA template
    Posters will be displayed for the entire duration of the conference.
  • A PPT presentation featuring a 5-minute presentation
    Apart from having the poster displayed, presenters will have 5 minutes to briefly introduce their poster during the Poster session. The allocated time for the Poster session will be shown in the final programme.

Poster size

Please refer to this template when preparing your poster.

Poster dimensions will be:

  • Width: 90 cm (36 inches)
  • Height: 130 cm (51 inches)
  • Orientation: Portrait

Prepare your material beforehand so that it will fit the space available and can be easily attached to the board. Thin cardboard is more suitable than paper. The organizers will provide suitable fixing materials, and onsite assistance will be available to help you to display your poster.

Poster mounting and removing

You should bring your poster with you in the print form already to the conference site. Your poster should be mounted on 19 June.

Each poster board will have a specific number. Please make sure to mount your poster on the poster board with the number corresponding to the number assigned to your poster presentation. Should you need any assistance with the poster display, we will happily assist you in the registration area.

Posters should be removed on the last day of the conference (22 June).
